Investasi merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam menggerakkan dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara. Namun ada berbagai pertimbangan yang dirasa perlu oleh para investor yang membuat harapan masuknya investasi, terutama investasi asing terkadang masih sulit untuk diwujudkan di Indonesia.

Adapun faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi investasi yang dijadikan bahan pertimbangan investor dalam menanamkan modalnya, antara lain:

• Faktor kestabilan perekonomian negara

Faktor kestabilan perekonomian, merupakan salah satu pertimbangan yang penting dalam melakukan investasi. Kabar baiknya adalah bahwa Indonesia, menurut Kepala Ekonom DBS Bank David Carbon, saat ini menjadi salah satu negara sasaran investasi yang ideal karena memiliki struktur perekonomian yang cenderung stabil.

• Faktor perubahan dan perkembangan teknologi

Sedangkan faktor kemajuan teknologi juga penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan mengurangi biaya produksi. Dengan kemajuan teknologi yang dimiliki oleh suatu negara akan memberikan peluang lebih besar pula untukdapat mendorong masuknya lebih banyak investasi.

• Faktor tingkat suku bunga

Mengenai tingkat suku bunga. Faktor ini juga tidak kalah pentingnya dalam menentukan tingkat investasi yang terjadi dalam suatu negara. Apabila di suatu negara tingkat suku bunganya rendah, maka tingkat investasi yang terjadi akan tinggi karena kredit dari bank masih menguntungkan untuk mengadakan investasi. Sebaliknya apabila tingkat bunga tingginya, maka investasi dari kredit bank pun akan tidak menguntungkan.

• Faktor prospek ekonomi di masa datang

Faktor prospek ekonomi di masa datanglah yang merupakan faktor yang paling mempengaruhi tingkat investasi dalam perekonomian suatu negara. Tidak dapat dipungkiri, harapan untuk adanya suatu peningkatan aktivitas perekonomian di masa datang merupakan salah satu faktor penentu untuk para investor dalam melakukan atau tidaknya suatu investasi. Jika diperkirakan akan terjadi peningkatan aktivitas perekonomian di masa yang akan datang, maka investor kemungkinan besar tidak akan menyia-nyiakan peluang yang memungkinkan untuk meraih keuntungan lebih besar di masa yang datang.

• Faktor pengaruh nilai tukar

Adapun faktor pengaruh nilai tukar,secara teoritis berdampak pada perubahan tingkat / nilai tukar dengan investasi bersifat uncertainty (tidak pasti). Pengaruh tingkat kurs yang berubah pada investasi dapat langsung lewat beberapa saluran, perubahan kurs tersebut akan berpengaruh pada dua saluran, sisi permintaan dan sisi penawaran domestik. Dalam jangka pendek, penurunan tingkat nilai tukar akan mengurangi investasi melalui pengaruh negatifnya pada absorbsi domestik atau yang dikenal dengan expenditure reducing effect. Karena penurunan tingkat kurs ini akan menyebabkan nilai riil aset masyarakat yang disebabkan kenaikan tingkat harga-harga secara umum dan selanjutnya akan menurunkan permintaan domestik masyarakat. Gejala diatas pada tingkat perusahaan akan direspon dengan penurunan pada pengeluaran / alokasi modal pada investasi.

Selain faktor-faktor yang telah disebutkan diatas ,adapula faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi investasi dalam perekonomian suatu negara adalah:1.      Tingkat Inflasi2.      Infrastruktur3.      Pendapatan Nasional Per Kapita4.      Birokrasi perijinan5.      Kualitas SDM (Sumber Daya Manusia)6.      Stabiltas Poltik dan Keamanan

Oleh karena itu, investasi dapat menjadi salah satu tolak ukur kemakmuran bagi suatu negara dan juga  masyarakatnya. Dengan adanya kegiatan investasi dapat  memungkinkan masyarakat untuk dapat  meningkatkan kegiatan ekonomi dan memperoleh kesempatan kerja, sedangkan bagi negara, kegiatan investasi dapat meningkatkan pendapatan nasional. Semuanya itu berujung pada satu kata yaitu, “kemakmuran”. Mari kita berharap, ke depannya Indonesia akan semakin baik lagi dan dapat menjadi salah satu  tempat ideal bagi para investor untuk melakukan kegiatan investasi.
